GEM Finishing respects your privacy. This page explains what information is handled when you visit gemfinishing.ca or ask for an estimate, why it is used, and the choices available to you.

Information you provide

When you submit an estimate request, the form may collect:

• your name and phone number;
• your email address, if you choose to provide it;
• the job location, service requested, preferred timeline, and project notes; and
• photos or other details you choose to send separately by text message.

GEM Finishing uses this information to respond to your request, discuss the work, prepare an estimate, schedule services, and keep appropriate business and communication records.

Who handles the information

Estimate requests are delivered to Gary Mills at GEM Finishing and to MCH Projects, which supports the website and enquiry-delivery system. Service providers may also process limited information to host the website, protect it from abuse, and deliver email notifications. These services currently include Cloudflare for website hosting and Google Analytics for optional website measurement. GEM Finishing does not sell the personal information submitted through this website.

Optional Google Analytics

Google Analytics 4 is off unless you select Accept analytics. If accepted, it helps GEM Finishing understand page visits and non-identifying actions such as estimate-button and phone-link clicks. It may process technical information such as device and browser details, an approximate location, and the pages viewed. The estimate form fields themselves are never sent to Google Analytics.

Analytics cookies are configured with a 90-day lifetime. You can decline analytics without affecting the estimate form, or change your choice later through Analytics preferences in the website footer. Website delivery and security

Website hosting and security services may process basic technical data, such as an IP address, browser information, and request timing, to deliver the site and protect it from misuse. Reasonable safeguards are used, but no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Retention and your choices

Information is kept only as reasonably necessary to respond to requests, provide services, and meet normal business or legal record-keeping needs. You may contact GEM Finishing to ask about, correct, or request deletion of your personal information, subject to applicable legal and business requirements.
