The exposed framing and insulation show the room before drywall closes in the walls. This is the stage to discuss the layout and any remaining preparation before boarding.

2. Boarded
Drywall covers the walls and ceiling, with the joints still visible. Boarding creates the surface that will be taped and coated; it is not the finished wall yet.
3. Taped and sanded
The joints and fasteners have been coated, and the surfaces prepared for the painting stage. The photos show the drywall progression, rather than a completed painted interior.
